What makes these cookies different from regular cookies?
Instead of relying primarily on refined flour and refined white sugar, our cookies are made with organic activated millet flour, flax seeds and palm jaggery. They are also made without preservatives.
What does "activated millet" mean?
The millets are soaked for approximately 9–10 hours before being stone-ground into flour. We refer to this traditional soaking process as activation.
Are millets gluten free?
Yes. Millet is naturally gluten free.
If you have celiac disease or a severe gluten allergy, please check the package for facility and cross-contamination information before consuming, as naturally gluten-free ingredients do not automatically mean a finished product is certified gluten free.
Are these cookies made with refined sugar?
No. They are sweetened with palm jaggery rather than refined white sugar.
Do they contain preservatives?
No. Our Multi Millet Cookies are made without added preservatives.
Are millet cookies a source of fibre?
Millets and flax seeds naturally contain dietary fibre. The exact fibre content of the finished cookies can be found on the Nutrition Facts panel.
Do they contain plant-based protein?
Millets and flax seeds naturally contain plant-based protein. Please refer to the Nutrition Facts panel for the amount of protein per serving.
Are these cookies suitable for children?
They can be enjoyed by both adults and children as part of a balanced diet. Their lightly sweet flavour and crunchy texture also make them a convenient lunch-box snack.
Are they very sweet?
They are designed to have a balanced sweetness rather than the intensely sweet taste of many conventional cookies. Palm jaggery gives them a warm, naturally distinctive flavour.
Where are the cookies made?
Our Multi Millet Cookies are proudly made in Canada.
How should I store them?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the package tightly sealed after opening to maintain freshness.
